AUDITIONS!
Jakarta Players Community Theatre announces AUDITIONS for their next upcoming musical “INTO THEWOODS.”
The classic Sondheim musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them further to explore the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from the stories of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella, tied together by a more original story involving a baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, most likely taken from the original story of Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm. It also includes references to several other well-known tales.
AUDITION INFORMATION:
DATE: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20th 2011 (10am-2pm) – No preparation necessary, you will be taught the songs and given the script to read from at the audition.
PLEASE NOTE: You MUST be prepared to stay the WHOLE time for the audition. You will be released if not needed, but plan to stay, it also depends on turnout.
ALSO…please NOTE…latecomers will be accepted at director’s discretion….PLEASE BE ON TIME!!!!
LOCATION: CHAND GARDEN, which is the TOP FLOOR of KINARA INDIAN RESTAURANT/FEZ BAR in Kemang. Jl. Kemang Raya #78B
ROLES AVAILABLE: This is not an ensemble show with a chorus role. There are only character roles available for 5 Men and 8 Women (ages 20 and up) AND 1 Male (Jack) and 1 Female (Little Red Riding Hood) (Age 13-20). NOTE: Wednesday rehearsals will most likely be ONLY lead characters and Saturday/Sunday rehearsals reserved for FULL CAST.
