ABOUT

The Jakarta Players is a non-profit community theatre organization that puts on four or five plays in Jakarta every year. Our membership open to anyone interested in theatre. We are a multi-national group of volunteers dedicated to providing high-quality English language entertainment to Jakarta’s theatre-loving community.

We donate our proceeds to local Indonesian charities, mostly benefiting children. Our members get involved in many ways, from acting, directing and producing to working backstage on lighting, sound, props, costumes, makeup and ticket sales. No previous theatre experience is necessary and many members learn new skills by helping out on productions.
